Road pavement works in the BRT Metropolitan Mebidang Construction Project involve a high level of complexity due to the use of a dedicated corridor that repeatedly accommodates heavy vehicle loads. Therefore, accurate Quantity Take-Off (QTO) calculations are critical. Conventional QTO methods, which are performed manually using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel, are prone to human error and require relatively long processing times. This study aims to calculate the volume of road pavement works using a Building Information Modeling (BIM)-based method with Autodesk Civil 3D and to determine the level of accuracy and deviation compared with the conventional method in the BRT Metropolitan Mebidang Project, specifically the Panglima Denai–Sisingamangaraja section, which has a length of 7.39 km. This study employed a quantitative approach with a case study design. The research stages included modeling the alignment, profile, and pavement cross-section assembly based on the Detail Engineering Design (DED), developing a 3D corridor model, and calculating material volumes using the Compute Materials feature. The resulting volumes were then compared with the project’s Bill of Quantity (BOQ) data. The results showed that the BIM-based pavement volumes were 1,396 m³ of AC-WC, 4,647 m³ of K400 concrete, 2,381 m³ of K125 concrete, and 2,420 m³ of graded aggregate. The deviation of each item from the BOQ was below the tolerance limit of 5%, namely 2.31% for AC-WC, 0.30% for K400 concrete, 2.15% for K125 concrete, and 3.82% for graded aggregate, with an overall volume deviation of 1.11% (BIM: 10,055 m³ vs. conventional: 9,944 m³). These findings indicate that the BIM-based method using Autodesk Civil 3D is valid and feasible as an alternative to conventional methods for QTO calculation of road pavement works in the BRT project and could serve as a basis for standardizing BIM-based QTO in similar projects.
