PENGARUH EDUKASI SELF-MANAGEMENT TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN SELF-HARM DAN KECEMASAN PADA REMAJA DI SMAN 20 KABUPATEN TANGERANG

The prevalence of self-harm in the world is around 20%. The prevalence of anxiety in the world is more than 200 million people with percentage (3.6%), the anxiety sufferers in Indonesia aged 15-19 years are 6.1% or 11 million people. The number of suicides in Indonesia is 80%–90% due to anxiety. Purpose: to determine the effect of self-management on self-harm behavior in adolescents at SMAN 20 Tangerang. This research used quantitative approach with quasi experiment research design by using nonequivalent pretest-posttest group design that had been conducted in June-August. Simple random sampling was used to obtain the sample of this research where the totals of 92 respondents were divided into 46 respondents in experimental class and 46 respondents in control class. The results obtained p-value The p-value in the experimental class 0.861–0.05 and the p-value in the control class 0.112–0.05 can be inferred that there is no difference between the level of self-management knowledge of pre-test and Post-test self-harm behavior between the two classes. There is no influence between the effect of Self-management education on Self-harm behavior in adolescents at SMAN 20 Tangerang
