PENERAPAN STRATEGI TEAM ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION (TAI) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGUASAI CONDITIONAL SENTENCE TYPE 1 SISWA KELAS XI MIA 1 SMA NEGERI 1 PANGKALAN SUSU, SUMATERA UTARA

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) strategy in improving the ability to master conditional sentences type 1 for class X MIA 1 students. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Susu, totaling 36 students, consisting of students male and female students. The method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which aims to identify and solve problems regarding students' ability to master conditional sentence type 1. In this Classroom Action Research (PTK), researchers apply the Hopkins design which consists of four stages. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were taken from observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Quantitative data was taken from the pre-test and post-test. Based on data analysis, the results of data analysis showed that the average student score was 59.02. Obtained from the results of the pre-test, there were 6 or 16.66% of students who passed the KKM Minimum Mastery Criteria. Post-test results in cycle 1, there were 13 or 36.11% of students who passed the KKM considering their average test score was 74.58. Post-test results in cycle 2 contained 34 or 94.44% of students who passed the KKM with an average -average 87.77. It can be concluded that the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) strategy can improve students' ability to master conditional sentence type 1 in class X MIA 1.
