PENGARUH SENAM PILATES TERHADAP SKALA NYERI PUNGGUNG PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III

Pregnancy is a process of fertilization in order to continue naturally to form a fetus that grows in the mother's womb, in the process from the stage of conception to the birth of the fetus. The gravity of the uterus over the large blood vessels reduces blood flow in the spine causing back pain, especially at the end of pregnancy third trimester. Management that can be done to reduce and prevent back pain in third trimester pregnant women is by exercising, one of the sports that is recommended to overcome back pain is Pilates exercise. Objective to review articles that discuss the Effect of Pilates Exercise on Back Pain Scale in Third Trimester Pregnant Women. The authors used a literature review, in searching for some of these literature articles using Indonesian and English, the articles obtained used the google scholar, pubmed, researchgate, science direct and scilit databases. Based on the results of 15 journals that have been reviewed in this Literature review, from several journals of analysis results and based on research it was found that the most effective therapy that can be done by pregnant women, especially in the third trimester is to do physical activity or pilates exercise. Pilates exercise can reduce low back pain in pregnant women. This should also be given by therapists who already understand and have skills in performing therapeutic action techniques and must be carried out according to standard operating procedures, Pilates exercise not only reduces the intensity of back pain but also helps maintain and improve body function in pregnant women.
